Graduiertenforum Forschung

Das Graduiertenforum Forschung (GRF) ist eine Plattform, die dem regelmäßigen Wissenstransfer im Bereich der Forschung dient. Hier werden aktuelle Forschungsprojekte der Arbeitskreise vorgestellt und diskutiert. Dank der regen Beteiligung unterschiedlicher Fachbereiche werden die Themen aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln beleuchtet, wodurch häufig neue Denkimpulse- und Problemlösungswege generiert werden. Gastvorträge von Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern aus anderen Institutionen bereichern das Graduiertenforum und sind jederzeit willkommen. Im Anschluss an das wissenschaftliche Programm lädt ein kleines Get-Together zum Verweilen und zum Gedankenaustausch mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen ein.

On the 20th of Marchn Veli, Arvid and Laura from the Translational Epigenetic Lab (Uslu-Epi Lab) at AgroScience will highlight the use of RNA interference and genome editing in plants and fungi for plant breeding and biotechnology.

Laura Schütz: 'Genome Editing for RNA interference Genes': Laura has some breaking news that an RNAi enzyme secretly works for the biggest RNAi competitor.

Veli Vural Uslu: 'Epigenetics and Genome Engineering for Plant Protection': Veli will elaborate on his uncertainty about whether it is easier to protect plants, fungi or viruses.  

One of the key messages in their presentations is that the model plants have limitations for developing applications on crop plants. To highlight this message, there will be beer and pizza served, which you can enjoy with model crops (like broccoli and Rucola etc) or agriculturally relevant plants (tastier stuff).
